To mark the occasion of the 203rd anniversary of Peru's independence, the Embassy of Peru to Germany held an official reception on July 25, which also provided an opportunity to remember the bicentennial of the battles of Junín and Ayacucho.

Why and under what circumstances did at least 220,000 German-speaking people settle in Brazil? What challenges did they face in their new country? What role did women play in this process? How did migrant families adapt to their new conditions? What is the legacy of German-speaking immigration in Brazil? These are some of the questions explored in the exhibition, which will feature extensive archival material and images, as well as charts and maps.
