Music and Culture at the Institut Français in Berlin

News from Berlin - On Thursday, April 3rd, the ensembles KNM Berlin and Cairn, based in Paris, will collaborate to create a concert in which they will showcase their new musical pieces.
The ensemble KNM was founded in 1988 and stands for the active contemporary music scene in Berlin. The ensemble Cairn was established in 1997 and comprises graduates of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. Both collectives have been invited by the Institute Français in Berlin to cooperate together and create a joint concert in Berlin.
The institute focuses on cultural projects which strengthen international dialogue and European exchanges. The goal of this concert will be to strengthen the relations between Germany and France.
The first concert of the two groups will be an opportunity to show the result of years of collaboration between KNM and Cairn. The work of Nicolas and Jerôme Combier Mondin will be presented for the first time.
The event will be produced with support of the Berliner Kulturverwaltung des Landes Berlin, DRAC Ile-de-France, de Impuls neue Musik en SACEM and will take place at the Institute Français in Berlin.
