This reception served as the official kickoff for the festival, which spans from April 12 to April 21, 2024, across various locations in Vienna, offering a rich and colorful program that celebrates the diversity of music and arts.

The Salam Music & Arts Festival, which has been a cultural staple in Vienna for over 20 years, focuses on showcasing music from the Arab world and beyond. It also includes a wide range of artistic expressions, such as visual arts, literature, dance, and performance, creating a multifaceted experience for a diverse audience. The festival's goal is to engage curious and culturally interested individuals, offering them an exciting opportunity to explore different art forms and cultural narratives.

Under the direction of Katrin Pröll and with the guidance of Martina Laab, the festival has evolved into a platform that not only highlights international and local talents but also fosters dialogue through art. Salam Music aims to serve as a bridge in a diverse society, using culture and the arts to forge a common identity and explore universal themes. The festival’s inclusive approach ensures that it resonates with a broad audience, promoting understanding and unity through shared cultural experiences.

Since its inception, Salam Music has featured a wide array of distinguished artists, including Ghalia Benali, Yasmine Hamdan, and Emel Mathlouthi, alongside local talents like the Orwa Saleh Ensemble and Marwan Abado. The 2024 edition promises to continue this tradition, offering a vibrant and inspiring festival that not only entertains but also educates and connects people from different backgrounds through the universal language of music and the arts.
