The French Institute in Berlin (Institut français de Berlin) is pleased to invite you to a free meeting with Jean-Paul Eid, Quebec comic book author and artist nominated for Francomics in 2023-2024.
Author of the comic strip “Le Petit Astronaute”, he will hold a meeting on Friday June 7 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the French Institute in Berlin. The meeting is open to all students with a B1 level or higher in French and it is not necessary to have read the comic to join the meeting.
During his presentations, Jean-Paul Eid relies on projected images from the comic strip. He then focuses on the creative process of a comic: storyboard and visual decisions, graphic stages from sketch to finalization, visual references, character research, etc. It also addresses issues linked to disability and inclusion, two significant themes of the album, and offers a cross-section of Quebec and European practices in this area.
