News from Berlin – From the April 25th to the July 27th, the Schloss Britz organizes the exhibition ‘Sueños de Rütrafe’. The collection displayed, belonging to the Catholic University of Temuco, is gathered from more than a hundred traditional art pieces of the Mapuche people. This showcase includes pieces from the middle of the 14th century , in which it is possible to see the world’ original view of the population and the influences of contacts with other cultures.

This initiative opened at the instigation of the Regional Museum of Araucanía and the Chilean National Direction of Libraries, Archives and Museums (DIBAM).

As of 2009 the exhibition was displayed in Chile, then from 2012 onwards it started its world tour.

Berlin is the first city visited by the showcase in Europe ; the presence of this important collection in the German capital has been possible thanks to the Cultural Direction of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The curators of the exhibition are Miguel Cerda Chapanoff and Leslye Palacios Novoa.

The Schloss Britz is situated at Alt-Britz 73, 12359 Berlin (accessible from U7 Parchimer Allee station). The showing is opened from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m. The entry fee is of 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children.
