Chargé d'Affaires

Ms. Hanta Ramahazosoa

Ms. Hanta Ramahazosoa currently serves as the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Madagascar to the Federal Republic of Germany, based at the Embassy in Falkensee, near Berlin. In this capacity, she oversees Madagascar's diplomatic mission in Germany and holds concurrent accreditation to Austria, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Slovakia, and Sweden.

A career diplomat, Ms. Ramahazosoa has a strong background in international relations and public service. She has represented Madagascar at various cultural and diplomatic events, including serving as an honorary guest at the "MADPARTY 2023" cultural event in Vienna, Austria, which showcased Malagasy culture through traditional dances, cuisine, and crafts.

Ms. Ramahazosoa is fluent in Malagasy and French and has working proficiency in English.

Madagascar and Germany have had diplomatic relations since 1961, soon after the country acquired its independence from France. The bilateral relations are traditionally friendly.

The Madagascan Embassy has been located in Falkensee since 2001. It also represents Madagascan interests in Austria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
