For example, in 2010 his composition "Fast and Furious" from the album "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Band" won the International Songwriting Competition in the Jazz category. Additionally, David Laborier collaborated on the album "Sings" by the African diva Angélique Kidjo and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg. "Sings" was awarded a Grammy in 2016 as "Best World Music Album".
