On 10th June at 18:30, the Embassy of Ireland in Germany’s Wandering Book Club made its anticipated return. This quarterly event, held in various Berlin locales, is a beloved tradition for book enthusiasts. The latest gathering took place at the charming ODRADEK book shop in Schöneberg, a neighborhood known for its cultural richness and lively atmosphere.

The featured book for this session was Paul Lynch’s critically acclaimed novel, “Prophet Song,” which garnered the prestigious Booker Prize last year. Participants were encouraged to read the book beforehand, available in both the original English and the German translation, titled “Das Lied des Propheten.” The discussion was conducted in English, fostering an inclusive environment for both local and international attendees.

Registration for the event was completed through the Embassy’s Eventbrite page. The evening offered an opportunity to delve into compelling literature while connecting with fellow book lovers in Berlin’s literary scene. Attendees left with a deeper appreciation for Lynch’s work and a renewed sense of community.
