"Last Rose of Summer” - Lunch Concerts organi-sed by the Irish Embassy in Berlin

The group of concerts is taking place at the Mendellsohn-Remise here in Berlin. The event has been organised by the Irish Embassy in Berlin, as it is hinted by the name itself of the event, since “The Last Rose of Summer” is a poem by Irish poet Thomas Moore.

The event has started taking place yesterday at the House of the Embassy of Ireland in Berlin, the Mendellsohn-Remise. The concerts, starting at 1pm daily from the 26th to the 30th of August, will last approximately 45 minutes. The programme of the concerts is extremely varied, with different artists performing everyday.

Different styles of music will be in fact performed at the concerts, ranging from tango to Armenian folk music. Admission to the concerts is free, although donations are required and tickets can be booked through Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.de/e/festival-last-rose-of-summer-2019-in-der-mendelssohn-remise-berlin-tickets-53101769823) additionally, an admission fee of 5€ will be requested, and proceedings will go towards the Mendelssohn Remise.

Overall, the lunchtime concerts consist of an incredible opportunity to expose guests to different kinds of performance music, while also celebrating Irish culture, as the event is organised by the Irish Embassy, and it will be an excellent way to spend one’s lunch break while delving into the music.
