LAF Berlin and "Nunca Brasil maíz Days"
April 02nd, 2014
News from Berlin - Today there will be a screening of the film ‘Condor’ to mark the "Nunca Brasil maíz Days". This documents the long shadows of the Condor Operation in Argentina, Brazil and Chile to mark the 50 years of the military coup. This event is organised by Lateinamerika-Forum Berlin.
The Forum is an association for public use: it is open to anyone interested in promoting relations and strong integration initiatives between Latin America and Germany. As the name says, they consider this organization a forum for the exchange of ideas, information and contacts for Latin Americans and Germans in Berlin.
Lateinamerika-Forum Berlin wants to collaborate in the promotion of mutual cultural Exchange, including panel discussions, by revealing the characteristics and potential of each region and transmitting, essentially, a differentiated picture of Latin America for Europeans. One successful event includes the panel discussion which was held last month on March 4th. Here, multiple Latin American embassies accredited in Berlin submitted information on specific aspects in the fields of politics and economics in their respective countries. Guests included Dr. Flavio Aguiar, the Brazilian journalist, and writer Dr. Winfried Hansch of the Alexander-von-Humboldt-Gesellschaft eV.
If you want to know more about Lateinamerika-Forum Berlin, come this week to Bismarckstraße 101 and enjoy the screening as well as multiple discussions.
