On June 25, Ambassador Sang Beom LIM met with Mr. Roland Busch, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business, known as APA (Asien-Pazifik-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft), and CEO of Siemens AG.

Ambassador Sang Beom LIM of the Republic of Korea met with the Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business, an organization supported by leading German business associations, to advance economic partnerships and investment opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region. The meeting contributed to the committee’s efforts to advise the German government on strategies for improving market access, investment frameworks, and free trade conditions in the region, reinforcing Germany’s role as a key economic partner.

With the objective of promoting and strengthening economic ties between Germany and Korea, the meeting served as a platform for dialogue between German businesses and political leaders from both countries, focusing on opportunities to advance the shared interests of German and Korean industries in an increasingly globalized world.

The discussion also provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the foreign and economic policy priorities of Korea’s new government, as well as current economic challenges and ways to address them collaboratively.

Another key topic was the status of preparations for the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2026 (Asiatisch‑Pazifische Konferenz der Deutschen Wirtschaft). Both parties agreed to maintain close cooperation to ensure the successful organization of the event.
