On September 14th, 2024, Bellevue Palace in Berlin will host the Citizens' Festival, celebrating volunteer work and civil society engagement. This year marks a special milestone as, for the first time, an African nation—Kenya—will be the festival’s international partner. Kenyan President William Ruto will attend, and the event’s theme, “Pamoja - Stronger Together,” highlights the importance of unity and collaboration.

Ambassador Stella Mokaya Orina invites all Kenyans in Germany to attend, emphasizing the significance of this partnership. Visitors will not only explore the Federal President’s residence but also learn about Kenya’s vibrant culture, diverse traditions, and contributions to the global community.

A major highlight of the festival will be the opportunity to taste Kenyan kahawa—its rich, aromatic coffee. Grown in Kenya’s fertile highlands, this world-renowned coffee offers bold flavors and a unique experience for attendees.

This historic partnership with Kenya underscores the growing connections between Germany and Africa, inviting everyone to celebrate diversity and shared values. Admission is free, but registration is required.
