Embassy of Argentina presents a vibrant calendar of art, music, and sporting events

Throughout July, the Embassy of Argentina in Austria presented a rich program of cultural and sporting activities in Vienna, celebrating creativity, exchange, and national pride. The month’s agenda included live music performances, contemporary art exhibitions, collaborative projects, and international sports events.
From July 3 to 6, Argentina took part in the Roller Derby World Cup, an international sporting event held in Austria. On July 5 and 19, the Argentine national football team faced Chile in friendly matches, bringing the excitement of South American rivalry to Austrian grounds.
Visual arts played a central role with several exhibitions. The Art Stays Festival (July 10–14) showcased contemporary works by Argentine artists, while AIL Ping‑Pong #1: Liquidity (March 20 – July 30) explored the concept of liquidity through multidisciplinary approaches.
From June 25 to August 20, the Begegnungen‑Encuentros exhibition in Traun marked the 20th anniversary of the Austria‑Argentina Artistic Cooperation. Featuring works by 33 Argentine and 20 Austrian artists, the exhibition reflected the strong cultural ties between the two countries.
The program continues in the coming months with Argentine Painters (July – September), an exhibition highlighting the diversity of contemporary Argentine visual art.
