The Embassy of Italy in Berlin and the Italian Cultural Institute have successfully concluded the 2026 edition of “Ciak si gira – The Grand Tour of Italian Cinema”, a film programme designed to promote Italian cinema while strengthening cultural relations between Italy and Germany.

The closing event brought together diplomats, filmmakers, representatives of Berlin's cultural sector and cinema enthusiasts to celebrate contemporary Italian filmmaking. Throughout the programme, audiences had the opportunity to discover award-winning productions that explored Italian society, history and culture from diverse perspectives.

Organised jointly by the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute, the initiative forms part of Italy's broader strategy of cultural diplomacy. Film screenings were accompanied by discussions and meetings that encouraged dialogue between Italian and German cultural professionals, fostering new opportunities for artistic collaboration.

The success of the programme demonstrates the growing interest in Italian cinema among Berlin audiences and highlights the important role that embassies and cultural institutes play in promoting intercultural understanding through the arts.

By supporting international film initiatives, the Embassy continues to reinforce Berlin's position as one of Europe's leading centres for cultural exchange and creative cooperation.
