Irish Dancing Becomes More Popular in Berlin

News from Berlin - The Jigs and Reels Irish Dance Academy in Berlin is offering Irish dancing, suited for every level. They are currently running intensive, intermediate and beginners classes, taught in small groups. You have a passion for Irish dancing but you think you are too old to begin a course? The school is situated in Storkower Straße 118 (S Bahn Landsberger Allee).
Irish dancing is performed either individually (step dancing) or in groups (ceilidh dancing). It is accompanied by traditional Irish music played on a variety of instruments, including the accordion, piano, fiddle, flute or banjo. This mixture of rhythmic footwork and live music is what renders Irish dancing so special.
Many of the dancers take part in international competitions and the most talented and experienced dancers have previously represented Jigs & Reels on many stages in Berlin and beyond as part of the Jigs & Reels Irish Dance Show Troupe.
In addition, the school offers a service whereby dancers can be hired to entertain guests at official events and celebrations.
Irish dancing is an exciting and ever-evolving dance form , with a long history and a strong sense of tradition and it brings joy of life and a magic energy. It is an important part of Irish culture and it has recently become even more popular with Berliners taking advantage of schools such as the renowned Jigs and Reels Irish Dance Academy across the city.
