February 14th, 2025Asadollah Eshragh Jahromi, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Austria, recently met with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi prior to commencing his diplomatic mission.
During this meeting, Ambassador Eshragh Jahromi outlined his strategic plans aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between Iran and Austria across various sectors. Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasized the longstanding positive relations between the two nations and the advancements achieved through their cooperation. Ambassador Eshragh Jahromi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held several key positions within Iran's diplomatic corps. His previous roles include serving as the Director General of Peace and International Security at the Foreign Ministry, Assistant Director General for Peace and International Security, and Deputy Representative of Iran to the United Nations and International Organizations in Vienna. Additionally, he has been the Head of the International Women's Affairs and Human Rights Department, Legal Advisor for International Affairs at Iran's Permanent Mission in Geneva, and First Secretary at the Iranian Embassy in South Africa.
