International Documentary Film Festival Held in Munich

News from Berlin - The 2014 DOK.fest (International Documentary Film Festival) is taking place in Munich from May 7th to May 14th. 135 officially selected documentary films from 41 countries will be featured this year. This is the 29th year of the festival, and this year's guest country is Brazil. Just like last year, there will be various specials, parties, open-air screenings, and for the first time a ‘Best-of-Oscar series’ besides the competition sections.
With the film ‘See No Evil’ from Jos de Putter, the festival opened its gates to visitors on May 7th at 8pm. The event is taking place this weekend at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film in Munich. On May 13th at 8pm the awarding of DOK.fest’s awards will also take place at HFF Munich.
At the awards, films from categories such as Best International Film, Best German Language Film and Best Documentary Talent will be evaluated by a professional jury. The single tickets cost 8 euros and can be purchased online, at the festival centre and at HFF. Permanent passes are also available for 75 euros which grants entry to all films.
