From the 2nd to the 4th of August, a diverse variety of types and brands of beer are being served at a mile-long festival in the Friedrichshain district.

With about 350 breweries from almost 90 countries and around 2,400 different beer specialities, this three-day festival aims to celebrate Germany’s favourite drink. The festival ground is divided into areas according to the geographical origins of the beers. These include many of the German states, such as Bavaria, Saxony, Westphalia and Thuringia; but also places far away from Germany, like Vietnam and Japan. In addition to all the beer on offer, stages along the street are to be set up with live music, shows and entertainment events. This will accompany a number of stalls that will sell a selection of German and international culinary delicacies.

The admission is free; the opening hours are from 12:00-24:00 on Friday the 2nd, and from 10:00-24:00 on Saturday and Sunday (the 3rd and 4th). The festival will be held along a section of Karl-Marx-Allee (Berlin, Germany).
