Indonesian Embassy: Promoting Indonesia At The Dresdner ReiseMarkt

The Indonesian Embassy in Berlin recently participated in the annual ReiseMarkt exhibition in Dresden, collaborating with delegates of the tourism industry that represent destinations such as Bali, Lombok and Yogyakarta. Held last month, the ReiseMarkt is the largest tourism event in the state of Sachsen, displaying more than 600 exhibitors, including 37 from around the world.

The Embassy distributed literature and visual advertisements about Indonesia at the event, as well as serving traditional Indonesian dishes including cassava chips, tempeh crisps and coated peanuts. One of the highlights of the exhibition was the wide assortment of Indonesian coffee, ranging from Sumatera, Aceh and Toraja varieties. For the promotion of Indonesian arts and culture, the Embassy presented a dance display from Aceh and Betawi regions.

Organised by the ‘Press, Social and Culture’ division at the Indonesian Embassy, the exhibition is part of the many events untaken to enhance and promote social and cultural relations between Indonesia and Germany. Other participants from the Asia-Pacific include India, China, Nepal and Vietnam.
