On June 21st, the House of Indonesian Cultures in Berlin-Tempelhof joined the vibrant Fête de la Musique with a colorful and lively parade. The procession began at the House of Indonesian Cultures, travelled through the Wenckebach Clinic, and made its way to Tempelhofer Harbor before returning to the starting point.

The parade showcased the rich cultural diversity of Jakarta, featuring the iconic giant dolls Ondel-Ondel, performances of the Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat, and traditional dance and music of the Betawi culture. This celebration coincided with Jakarta's birthday, celebrated the following day.

At Tempelhofer Harbor, the House of Indonesian Cultures was part of the fête program organized by the Leo Kestenberg music school. The performances began around 3 pm, adding a unique Indonesian flair to the event.

This participation not only highlighted the cultural heritage of Jakarta but also underscored the enduring cultural exchange between Indonesia and Germany. The event was a feast for the senses, bringing the sights and sounds of Jakarta to the heart of Berlin.
