In Berlin: Cameroonian Citizens can Register for their Upcoming Elections
The embassy in Berlin opened the registration for the 2025 elections in Cameroon
June 16th, 2024As Cameroon prepares for presidential elections in 2025, Cameroonian citizens in Berlin can officially sign for the electoral lists to exercise their right to vote at the Embassy of Cameroon in Berlin.
"Our country is on the brink of a pivotal moment in its history. The year 2025 will be dedicated to the presidential election. We urge all Catholic Christians and people of goodwill to engage and exercise their civic rights by registering to vote," Archbishop Andrew Fuanya Nkea of Bamenda, president of Cameroon's National Episcopal Conference, said during his address at the 49th bishops’ plenary assembly of in Yaoundé in early April.
Since the 24th of May 2024, all Cameroonian citizens established or residing in Germany have been able to register for the electoral lists at the ELECAM focal point at the Embassy of Cameroon in Berlin.
Any Cameroonian who wishes to register must provide a Cameroonian passport, a consular card, and a residence permit/residence card. The original and a copy of each document is required.
Registration is now available every working day from 1pm to 4pm.
