ImPulsTanz: Vienna International Dance Festival

Spain’s Embassy in Vienna highlights one of the summer's most anticipated events

The Vienna International Dance Festival, also known as ImPulsTanz, offers a unique and diverse program, supporting professionals who will lead classes and workshops. Founded in 1984, the festival has grown to become the world's largest festival for contemporary dance and performance. Each summer, it features a diverse array of performances, workshops, research projects, and musical events.

Pre-sale for the full performance program has already begun. Annually, ImPulsTanz showcases over 50 productions from both international and Austrian artists and companies, creating an intense cultural experience in Vienna's theaters and museums. Additionally, 157 international teachers and choreographers provide their expertise to both beginners and professionals through workshops and research projects at Arsenal. The music program includes nightly concerts and DJ sets at the Festival Lounge and the ImPulsTanz Soçial Weekender on two evenings at Vienna City Hall’s Arkadenhof. The Dance Festival spans a full month, starting on July 11 and concluding on August 11.
