The Berlin culture program in June includes various exhibitions, trade fairs, concerts and festivals. For those who have a passion or are simply interested in aeronautics, Berlin offers the ILA Berlin Air Show.

The ILA, the world’s oldest air show was held between the 1st and 4th of June 2016 on the southern section of Airport Berlin Brandenburg International. The show, which was open to the public, is one of the largest trade exhibitions for the aerospace industry. Exhibitors from over 40 countries as well as more than 120,000 people were expected to attend.

The ILA trade fair provided a platform for international exchange and dialogue between the aerospace industry, space agencies, science, politics, and the military. Representatives of world-renowned companies in modern public transport and leading exhibitors in aviation perceived the event as an opportunity to discuss leading innovation in aeronautics as well as strategies and trends. Airbus, one of the leading aerospace companies with a significant industrial footprint in Berlin, offered exhibitions based on innovation and its modern aircraft product line.

For non-professionals, the static display and air show offered a few highlights. The public was invited to view the aircrafts from the inside and interact with the machinery. With more than 300 aircrafts of different sizes from historic to modern time put on display, the show presented significantly more aircrafts than any other aviation show.

The aerospace exhibition was a must-see event for all international aerospace industry experts and interested.
