About Indonesia’s initiative to enhance its health system, “Transform Health Indonesia” is a coalition coordinated by the Indonesian Public Health Experts Association (IAKMI), with more than 35,000 members throughout Indonesia. These partners include public health professionals, public health students, women-led organisations, academics, government health local authorities and young people.

The German Health Alliance (GHA) works to assure and equal access for all people to health, through innovation, transparency, international cooperation, and foreign trade. In this occasion, the GHA helped building networks and partnerships to improve the “Transform Health Indonesia” initiative. Moreover, this collaboration contributes to value creation in Germany and beyond.

Some of the objectives that the Indonesian healthcare transformation attempts to achieve are integrating a digital health curriculum for health science students, implementing an integrated and interoperable Electronic Patient Health Records (ePHR) or increasing digital literacy of youth women and marginalised groups.  

On this event, many German companies showed their interest in collaborating with the Indonesian Ministry of Health, by building proper partnerships to support the digitalisation and innovation of the system, in order to provide quality health care to all those who need it.
