Heads of the Parliamentary Apparatuses of Kyrgyzstan and Austria discussed Prospects for Co-operation

June 06th, 2024Alaibek Alymbayev, the Chief of Staff of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Supreme Council of the unicameral Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with the Chief of Staff of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria, Secretary General Harald Dossi.
The meeting was organised within the framework of the official visit to Austria of the Torag of the Jogorku Knesh, Nurlanbek Shakiev.
During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of expanding ties and exchange of experience between the Staff of the Jogorku Kenesh and the Administration of the Austrian Parliament.
Chief of Staff Alaibek Alymbayev noted that this meeting will serve as a basis for expanding co-operation. ‘We are interested in further deepening and developing bilateral relations with the Administration of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria,’ he said.
At the same time, Alaibek Alymbayev, speaking about the importance of exchange of experience and the implementation of mutual working visits, expressed the readiness of the Jogorku Kenesh to co-operate in this area.
In turn, the Head of the Administration of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria, Secretary General Harald Dossi, said that the meeting of the heads of parliaments of the two countries opened a new page of cooperation, contributing to the strengthening of interstate relations.
In addition, Harald Dossi invited the Jogorku Kenesh Apparatus to join the global programme ‘Inter Pares’, noting that this programme aims to increase the capacity of employees, increase their experience in the field of legislation and control over its implementation.
‘Currently, the Apparatuses of Parliaments of European countries have joined the global programme “Inter Pares” and share experience with each other. We would like the staff of the Jogorku Kenesh Apparatus to be among us,’ said Harald Dossi.
