Greek Ambassador Hosts Innovation Breakfast at Hellenic Residence in London
Entrepreneurs and investors discuss Greece’s startup ecosystem
May 13th, 2026Yannis Tsaousis, Ambassador of Greece to the United Kingdom, hosted a working breakfast at the Hellenic Residence in London with founders, investors, senior executives, and business leaders from the Endeavor Greece network.
The discussion focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and developments within the Greek startup ecosystem. According to the organisers, recurring themes included talent attraction, scale-up culture, and the importance of building a consistent innovation ecosystem. Participants exchanged views on the conditions shaping innovation and business growth, with particular attention given to the structures needed to support long-term entrepreneurial development.
The event brought together representatives from business and investment circles in a setting designed to encourage dialogue between members of the Greek innovation community operating internationally. By convening founders, executives, and investors at the Hellenic Residence, the gathering connected diplomatic representation with broader conversations surrounding entrepreneurship and economic development.
The discussion also reflected the increasing visibility of Greek startup networks abroad, particularly in cities such as London where international investment, technology, and business communities intersect. Within this framework, the breakfast functioned not only as a networking event, but also as a forum for exchanging perspectives on the future direction of Greek innovation.
Following the breakfast, Ambassador Tsaousis guided attendees through the Embassy’s permanent exhibition dedicated to George Seferis, linking the contemporary discussion on innovation and entrepreneurship with an aspect of Greece’s cultural presence in the United Kingdom.
