Government Officials Visit the Embassy of Thailand

News from Berlin - An official delegation from Thailand was received by the Ambassador of Thailand in Berlin, H.E. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, on May 27th. It was led by the Vice secretary of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Busakorn Vatanaputi, and the main goal of the visit was to get an insight of the German system for political education. They were officially received at the Federal center for political education, where they were introduced to several subjects vital for the good functioning of a democratic state, for example the importance of democratic behavior in civil society and how to encourage the population to participate in the political life of the country.
This trip is the second important visit by Thai officials to the embassy of Berlin since the beginning of May. On May 7th the ambassador of Thailand received the Undersecretary of Justice, Mrs. Suwana Suwanjuta, as well as a delegation from the Department for Special Investigation and another one from the University of Chulalongkorn. The purpose of these visits was also to commemorate the 150 years anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Thailand.
