News from Berlin - The McKinsey Global Institute has recently conducted a research titled "Global flows in a digital age: How trade, finance, people and data connect the world economy". This study measured the globalization in a world where by now products, capital, human beings, services and data are the basis of our wealth. According to McKinsey, Germany is the nation where globalization has developed the most. In particular the international exchange generates from 15 to 25 % of the total growth, thanks to the growing prosperity of emerging nations but also to the spread of Internet and digital communities.

Germany benefits in particular from this tendency. Nowadays knowhow plays an essential role in globalization and Germany, the country of cars and machines, is particularly interested in this tendency. Not only this but also its politics, which makes huge investments on education and infrastructure like roads and lines. Concerning data streams, however, Germany is on the second position, and the Internet communication reaches a level above-average.

Exchange relationships and even migration have been influenced a lot. E-books, computer games, films and music don't need any more classic data carriers like books DVDs or CDs, which adds to the growth of MP3-players and video game consoles in international trade.

Programs and goods are living  a real revolution, becoming increasingly digital. This also reduces job migration and business trips since platforms like Google Docs and Dropbox, allow for employees of the same company to work together, even when sitting in different offices of different countries.
