Last week saw the opening of the German-Portuguese Forum in Berlin. The forum is to further cooperation and integration between the two countries, especially with regard to mutual economic and financial support, as well as facilitate cultural exchanges. The conference saw 200 people attend with the German and Portuguese Foreign Ministers visiting, too. Throughout the opening, various speeches were held in German and Portuguese. Most speakers underlined the importance of exchanging ideas between the two countries, whilst also applying this idea to European issues, as well.
