German-Czech Leaders Meet to Discuss their Strategic Dialogue Plan

The Czech Embassy in Berlin hosted the new annual evaluation meeting between the two countries

On June 17, 2019, Czech Ambassador T. Podivinsky hosted an evaluation of the “German-Czech Strategic Dialogue” with two coordinators, Ambassador of Germany to Prague Ch. Israng and Deputy Head of Department in the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs T. Kafka.

Founded in July 2015, the German-Czech Strategic Dialogue represents a third institutional pillar of German-Czech relations, along with the Future Fund and Dialogue Forum. This initiative has expanded and strengthened the relationship between these two countries, and has resulted in the creation of new initiatives. Through mutual exchange promoted by this dialogue, Germans and Czechs are able to better understand the challenges they share and react to them more effectively.

At this meeting, the above listed representatives evaluated their work that has taken place of the last two and a half years. They adopted an evaluation report that includes an appendix of successful projects initiated from January 2017 until June 2019. Additionally, the coordinators recommended the continuation of the German-Czech Strategic Dialogue over the next two years.
