German Culture and Lifestyle Celebrated in Canada

News from Berlin – From June 9th to June 15th, the German Embassy in Ottawa is celebrating a week of German culture and lifestyle at the Ambassador’s residence.
The day before yesterday, the internationally-known pianist Hinrich Alpers has successfully performed a classical concert on grand piano. Yesterday, the German Ambassador Werner Wnendt and his wife welcomed people in their residence for a Garden Party.
Today, the artist Bridge Clarkland will perform her interpretation of Goethe’s Faust. Played in the garden of the residence of the German Ambassador at 6 :30 p.m., the performance is presented as a one-woman-show with hand puppets and pop music.
Tomorrow, the jazz pianist and composer Joja Wendt will perform at 7 p.m. in the garden of the residence of the German Ambassador. A wine tasting is scheduled before at 6pm.
On Friday, an evening of electronic music is planned, in the presence of the German DJ Maschine Berlin, between 8 to 11 p.m. at the German Ambassador’s residence.
