The Embassy of Ireland and the British Embassy in Berlin jointly hosted a special event on the evening of April 26, 2023, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. The event featured a screening of the documentary film "Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs," directed by Eimhear O'Neill, followed by a reception.

The event was held at the Embassy of Ireland. The ambassadors of Ireland and the United Kingdom, O'Brien and Gallard, respectively, provided remarks before the film screening.

"Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs" is a powerful 56-minute documentary that tells the story of how Catholic and Protestant women in Northern Ireland joined forces to form an all-female political party. Together, they won seats at the negotiating table and fought to ensure their policies on human rights, equality, and inclusion were reflected in the Good Friday Agreement. The film features interviews with members of the Women's Coalition, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Senator George Mitchell, and civil rights campaigner Bernadette Devlin.
