Exhibition Opening: "Heimat an der Kreuzung"

On Friday, June 10th 2016, the Exhibition “Home at the Crossroads” Will Open its Doors from 7 p.m.

The exhibition will show pictures which emerged from the 6th, 7th and 8th edition of Art Forum at the intersection 2015/16 in Kunstbahnhof Langmeil, near Kaiserslautern.

Participating artists come from all over the world, including Bulgaria and Germany. The initiators and organizers Ivan Vasilchin and Alt-Beschenov, from Romania, with the support of Christian Gunter (Gunther Wood); Antonia Duende, Boriana Pertchinska, Jordanka Sotirova, Marincat Aurelia, Nikolay Arnaudov and Sonia Ruskov from Germany; Anton Antonov, Boriana Pertchinska, Daniela Ruseva, Dimitar Vitanov, Hyusein Okan, Katya Hristova, Plamen Bonev, Tsvetelina Maximova and Miryan Kolev from Bulgaria; Gabriela Gunter, Manual Manastireanu Iassy and Nicolae Velciov from Romania; Milena Mladenova from Hungary; Ralitza Vladimirova from USA are responsible for organizing the exhibition.

The exhibition started as an art symposium in 2006 by a group of Bulgarian artists from Banat. Since its fourth edition it was transformed into an art forum for Bulgarian artists from abroad. The exhibition aims to enabe them to exchange ideas through creative works and promote consolidation of the Bulgarian art scene abroad in order to deepen relations with Bulgarian artists abroad, Bulgarian culture and build new bridges between artists in Bulgaria, Europe and other countries.

The Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin was opened 1962. The institute aims to show a current picture of creativity in Bulgaria, representing Bulgarian history and mediating regional studies Council. In fact, Bulgaria became a demoratic state in 1989 following the fall of communism in the country. Since then, the country has taken numerous steps ensuring the entrenchment of demcracy in the country. Therefore, the Institute would like to help and contribute to the building of cultural bridges between Sofia, Berlin, and the rest of the world.
