News from Berlin - News from Berlin - The Institute Cervantes, in collaboration with Hovaman Association, will present an exhibition on the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The exhibition will take place in the Institute Cervantes in Berlin. It will run since October 15th till December 10th.

The exhibition is composed of 75 photographies taken by José Giribás related to fall of Berlin Wall events. In his exhibition he included periods like: demonstrations after borders of Berlin became opened and celebration of people during 9th November 1989. Giribás is a Chilean photojournalist who has been working in Germany for many years. At present he works as a freelance photographer for various publications in Germany and abroad. The exhibition reflects his personal experience living in divided Berlin.

The photographs are predominantly in black and white, just some of them are in color, reflecting the political and geographical upheaval during and after the Berlin wall. It also documents the most comprehensive historical events between 1989 and 1990.

At the exhibition you can also register for a personal guide with José Giribás presenting his exhibition. On October 23rd, this will be in German language. 5 days later guidance would be in Spanish.
