Staff Bid Farewell After Five Years of Dedicated Service
September 10th, 2024On Thursday, August 29, 2024, the staff of the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Burkina Faso organized a farewell ceremony to honor First Counselor Wibila Nacoulma and his family. After five years of service, Counselor Nacoulma is returning to central administration, and the event marked a heartfelt goodbye from friends, colleagues, and Burkinabe officials stationed in Vienna.
The Ambassador, speaking on behalf of the staff, expressed deep appreciation for Counselor Nacoulma’s work during his tenure. His efforts in handling bilateral, multilateral, and cross-country issues were particularly highlighted, and the Ambassador conveyed her satisfaction with the high quality and quantity of his contributions. She also extended her thanks to his family, especially his wife, for her constant support and involvement in the social activities of the Embassy.
Among the attendees was Mr. Jean-Baptiste Zongo, State Comptroller of the ASCE, who is currently on a mission in Vienna. He praised Mr. Nacoulma for his invaluable role in supporting the ASCE’s participation in activities organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), acknowledging his efforts as a significant contribution to the mission’s success.
In his response, Counselor Nacoulma expressed his deep gratitude to the Ambassador, his colleagues, and the entire Embassy staff. He emphasized how vital their support and trust had been throughout his tenure, acknowledging that his accomplishments would not have been possible without them. Speaking on behalf of his family, he also expressed sincere thanks for the kindness and cooperation they had experienced during their time in Vienna.
The farewell ceremony was a moment of recognition, camaraderie, and gratitude, marking the end of an important chapter for First Counselor Nacoulma and his family.
