This round table will serve to better introduce Uzbekistan to the Germans and invite cooperation. I have visited Uzbekistan twice in my career. The high-level mutual visits by the heads of state and government of both countries show how important cooperation with Uzbekistan and the Central Asian countries is for Germany. At the event we learned that today Uzbekistan is taking courageous steps towards becoming a legal, democratic, secular and social state. MP Andreas Larem, member of the German Bundestag, the representative of the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, the representative of the countries of Central Asia, East and South Asia explained that he supports Uzbekistan in the implementation of all the reforms that have begun and he wishes the country much success in achieving all the goals it has set.
