On 6 February 2026, the Embassy of the Togolese Republic in Berlin, in collaboration with the Bundesverband für Wirtschaftsförderung und Außenwirtschaft (BWA), organized a high-level virtual meeting under the theme: “Attracting more German foreign investment to Togo: strategies and opportunities.”

This initiative forms part of the ongoing strategic dialogue between Togolese and German economic stakeholders. It provided a substantive and engaging platform to present the economic reforms currently underway in Togo, highlight high-potential sectors, and outline concrete investment opportunities for German investors, business leaders, and consultants. Particular emphasis was placed on transparency, Togo’s comparative advantages, and selected success stories, with a view to strengthening confidence and encouraging tangible partnerships.

The meeting brought together representatives of the German private sector, including business leaders affiliated with the BWA, as well as key actors from the Togolese private sector. Participants included the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Togo (CCI-TOGO), the Association of Large Companies of Togo (AGET), and the National Council of Employers (CNP). Representatives from the ministry responsible for investment promotion and economic sovereignty, alongside officials from the Embassy, also took part in the discussions.

Through this coordinated engagement, the Embassy and its partners reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening economic cooperation and promoting Togo as a reliable and competitive destination for German investment.
