In a united effort between The Embassy of Thailand in Berlin and the Thai Association in Berlin e.V. this August the "Thai Park Goes Zero Waste" campaign was launched.

The 52 vendors of Thai Park pledged to use only reusable materials such as hard plastic plates and cups. Recycling bags have also been set up around the sales area, and signs warn visitors of proper environmental behavior. To further encourage sustainability, visitors who bring their own tableware from home receive a 50-cent discount on each purchase.

The Embassy of Thailand is actively participating in this virtuous initiative by organizing a photo contest that ended on Sunday, September 11. Participants were asked to take a photo at Thai Park under the theme "Thai Park Goes Zero Waste" and post it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #greenthaiparkberlin. From the 12th to the 15th September 2022 on the Royal Thai Embassy’s Facebook page is held the vote to then having the awards ceremony on September 17 at Thai Park. The embassy has raffled off three prizes with a total value of €1,000 and an additional 50 lunchboxes.
