The Embassy of Panama has demonstrated exceptional dedication and enthusiasm in the recent City Cycling event held in Berlin. This annual competition, which took place from May 30th to June 19th, aims to promote climate-friendly travel by encouraging participants to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike.

In a remarkable achievement, the Embassy of Panama secured first place in the individual rating, with an impressive 392 kilometers cycled! With 98 participants contributing to this collective effort, the team managed to cover a total of 19,918 kilometers, thereby saving an astounding 3,585 kg of CO2.

City Cycling is more than just a competition; it's a movement towards sustainable living. Municipalities across Germany compete to see who can pedal the most, but the event also allows for the formation of sub-teams, encouraging friendly rivalry and widespread participation. Whether you're a daily cyclist or someone new to the activity, every kilometer counts, especially those that replace car journeys.

The Embassy of Panama's success is a testament to the power of collective effort and the positive impact of sustainable practices. The dedication shown by the participants reflects a strong commitment to reducing carbon footprints and promoting healthier lifestyles through cycling.
