Scientific, Artistic and Cultural Dialogues, the “Perspectives of Innovation for a Changing World” brings Mexico’s creativity

From September to December 2025, the Embassy of Mexico in Austria presents the Scientific, Artistic and Cultural Program 2025 under the motto “Perspectives of Innovation for a Changing World.” The season highlights Mexico’s vibrant contributions to music, literature, visual arts and public debate, fostering dialogue across borders and disciplines.
The program opens on September 5–6 with “México presente en Ars Electronica 2025” in Linz, where renowned electroacoustic composer Rodrigo Sigal will showcase innovative soundscapes at one of the world’s leading festivals for art, technology, and society.
On September 13, the Commemorations of the Beginning of Independence will bring together Mexican communities in Bratislava, Linz and Vienna for festive celebrations. Just a day later, on September 14, the Instituto Cervantes in Vienna will host “Rosario Castellanos, Escritora Universal”, marking the centenary of the influential poet and essayist with readings and tributes.
Music takes center stage on September 21 with pianist Ana Gabriela Fernández, who will perform the recital “Música contemporánea mexicana para el mundo” at the Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, showcasing the richness of Mexico’s contemporary repertoire. Finally, the season concludes in Graz on November 6 with “Pintura, poesía y transversalidad en el arte”, a joint presentation by Johannes Zechner and Pedro Serrano, exploring intersections between visual and literary creation.
With this rich and diverse program, the Embassy of Mexico invites Austrian and international audiences to engage with Mexico’s cultural vitality and its reflections on identity, creativity, and innovation in a rapidly changing world.
