In October 2025, the Embassy of Colombia in Austria presents a diverse and inspiring cultural program that brings together heritage, contemporary art and community engagement. Through exhibitions, performances and workshops, the embassy celebrates Colombia’s artistic richness while fostering connections across Austria, Croatia and Slovakia.

The centerpiece of this month’s agenda is the traveling exhibition “Gold and Coca Leaf”, hosted from October 14 to 16. This exhibition ignites a dialogue between heritage, contemporary art and public policy across nine European countries. At its core are 56 exact replicas of the Quimbaya Collection, meticulously crafted by Colombian master artisan Omar Hurtado. Complementing these pieces is Tatiana Arocha’s installation “La Chagra de Amoka”, which bridges ancestral traditions with modern environmental and cultural reflections.

Earlier in the month, Colombian artists are featured in ICDO’s exhibition “Culture, Innovation & Sustainability” at Yunus Emre, open until October 10. Visitors can join a guided tour led by cultural manager Alina Cárdenas Rey, highlighting Colombia’s contribution to global creative dialogue. Beyond exhibitions, the embassy supports community initiatives such as the First Fair of Talents, Arts, and Professions of Colombians in Graz, held on October 11, showcasing the diversity and entrepreneurship of Colombian residents in Austria.

Dance and movement take center stage in a series of workshops throughout the month. The weekly dance sessions by Lysabel Urbano blend expression and rhythm every Monday and Friday in Vienna, while her “Spiritual Dance” and “Yogalates, Feminine Flow & Kindermoves” workshops invite participants to explore body awareness and connection.

Through this dynamic October program, the Embassy of Colombia in Austria continues to highlight the country’s artistic diversity and cultural diplomacy. Artists, professionals and enthusiasts are invited to join and share their initiatives by writing to office.austria@cancilleria.gov.co, ensuring that Colombian creativity continues to thrive abroad.
