A working visit from His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima is scheduled to take place on March 6th 2019, as previously announced by the Dutch Royal Household.

The Dutch Royal Couple will be visiting the Free Hanseatic City-State of Bremen in Germany, accompanied by Sigrid Kaag, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. During the visit, a great emphasis will be placed on strengthening relations between the two countries and opening up new perspectives for economic cooperation.

Relations between the Netherlands and Bremen go back about 1200 years. Bremen has been a trade center for centuries, mainly because of its geographic location. Minister Kaag will lead an economic mission in the fields of space travel and wind energies on the sea as an integral part of the upcoming visit, since several reputable enterprises and research centers in the above listed sectors are located in Bremen.
