The 2025 Global Summit convened in Berlin, bringing together a powerful assembly of global women leaders. Over 1,000 women leaders from 60 countries convened at the Marriott Berlin Hotel from July 2–5 to explore the intersections of technology, business, leadership, and values in today’s rapidly evolving global landscape.

The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD) supported the summit as part of its broader mission to promote intercultural understanding and peace through dialogue. By engaging cultural diplomacy in sessions such as the Government Leaders Forum, Women Entrepreneurs Forum, and the Global Women’s Leadership Awards Gala Dinner, the summit reaffirmed the critical role cultural diplomacy plays in empowering women and advancing cooperation across borders.

Since its inception, the Global Summit of Women has served as a critical platform for advancing women’s economic participation across government, business, and civil society. This year’s milestone edition reinforced the urgency of that mission, particularly as global leaders confront challenges in a digitized, fragmented world. The summit provided space to share effective strategies, strengthen networks, and foster inclusive leadership on a global scale.

Discussions ranged from leadership in the era of AI to the economic impact of migration and women’s roles on corporate boards amidst geopolitical tensions. The Summit's central theme highlighted how women can lead digital and business innovation while embedding ethics, empathy, and social responsibility—values increasingly vital in global governance and diplomacy.

As the Global Summit of Women enters its fourth decade, its enduring commitment to fostering dialogue, leadership, and cultural exchange remains more relevant than ever. With institutions like the ICD championing these efforts, diplomacy continues to serve as a bridge, amplifying women’s voices and shaping a more equitable, values-driven global future.
