Collective Art Exhibition Opens in Chilean Embassy

News from Berlin – From June 13th to August 29th, 2014, will be open for the public the collective art exhibition ‘Identities / Interferences and Connexions’ in the Sala Chile of the Chilean Embassy in Germany.
The exposition is a project sponsored by the Department of Cultural Affairs, which is part of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will count with the participation of numerous contemporary art Chilean artists such as Paula Anguita, Daniela Montecinos, Matthias Galvez, Manuel Riquelme, Pamela Martinez and Alejandro Soto.
Three of those renowned Chilean artists are to take part in the much praised exhibition NordArt, which is held annually in the city of Büdelsdorf. The NordArt exhibition is one of the largest contemporary art expositions in Europe. The 2014 edition, which lasts from June 14th to December 10th, involves 250 artists from 55 countries, and focuses on Russian contemporary art.
The Chilean contemporary art scene has been thriving in the past few years. With its rich history, from the indigenous Mapuche and colonial Spanish to the more recent influence from the United States, the South American country boasts of a unique artistic style.
The exhibition opening celebration will take place on Thursday June 12th at 7pm.
