The Embassy of Colombia in Germany presents an exhibition on the Chiribiquete National Natural Park within the framework of the Long Night of the Sciences in Berlin.

The Long Night of the Sciences is an annual event that takes place every year in the city of Berlin during the month of June. It opens the doors of many spaces for scientific dissemination and research in order to raise awareness of different initiatives and projects of interest to the general public. It is, in fact, a personal encounter between citizens and scientists.

The Ambassador of Colombia in Germany, H. E. Amb. Hans Peter Knudsen, the Director of the Museum of Natural History, Dr Johannes Vogel, and WWF Colombia Program Officer, Roberto Maldonado, inaugurated the exhibition “Chiribiquete, das Haus der Götter” on the 15th of June. This event is framed in the plan of Promotion of Colombia Abroad of the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This exhibition allows the public to get to know one of the largest national rainforest parks in the world through the photographs of the prestigious artist César David Martínez. In addition, a didactic event was organized in which children could participate through the creation of a collective mural. Although the presentation took place at the Natural History Museum in Berlin, we will be able to enjoy it until the 30th of August at the Colombian Embassy in Germany. From then onwards, the work of César David Martínez will be exhibited permanently in the Natural History Museum.
