Chile Seeks to Become a Bridge between Asia & Latin America

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Roberto Ampuero, received an audience with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Chile, Xu Bu, to address the participation of Chile in the Second Forum of the Belt and Route for International Cooperation.
The Ambassador discussed with the Minister a variety of topics including different strategies to enhance connectivity and the promotion of green and sustainable growth. They also discussed the need to promote a debate to reform the United Nations Security Council and addressed the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and the achievement of its objectives.
Chile is seeking to become a bridge between Asia and Latin America and both the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador agreed that Chile and China are currently going through an excellent phase in their bilateral relations.
