On March 23rd, the Pakistani Embassy in Berlin will hold a special ceremony for the occasion of Pakistan Resolution Day. The event will commence a flag hoisting ceremony by H.E Amb. Syed Hasan Javed, Ambassador of the Pakistani Embassy in Berlin.

Pakistan Resolution Day, also known as Republic Day, is a national holiday in Pakistan. It commemorates the Lahore Resolution of 1940 and the declaration of the first constitution in Pakistan. Following the events of March 23rd, Pakistan became the world’s first Islamic Republic. This day is commonly celebrated in Pakistan with a parade of armed forces.

The celebrations also traditionally included civilian parades in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. All of these marches are led by the President and are held early in the morning. When the parade finishes, the President offers national awards and medals to awardees that have earned the honors. Furthermore, wreaths are laid for the mausoleums of Muhammad Lqbal and Muhammaed Ali Junnah.

The program will start at nine o’clock on the Monday morning, 23rd March at the Embassy. After the flag hoisting, there will be a short recitation of passages from the Holy Quran. Following this, the head of Chancery Mr. Sajjad Haider will read messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, prepared especially for this occasion. The Ambassador will then give an address speech to all participants. The event will be finalized with light refreshments. Everyone and anyone are cordially welcomed to this event, including the Pakistani community in Berlin and anyone who has an interest in the event.
