The Indonesian Embassy in Berlin is organizing a series of vibrant events to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. These activities, ranging from sports competitions to a cultural festival, highlight the embassy's commitment to fostering cultural diplomacy and strengthening community ties.

The celebration kicks off with a Badminton tournament on August 4, 2024, at TIB Sport Halle Columbiadamm 111, starting at 09:00 CEST. This is followed by Basketball and Volleyball games on August 10, 2024, at GutsMuths Sport Halle, also beginning at 09:00 CEST. On August 11, 2024, the embassy will host a Fun Bike event at its premises on Tiergarten Str. 28, starting at 09:00 CEST. The festivities culminate on August 17, 2024, with the Pesta Rakyat (People's Party) at the Indonesian Ambassador's Residence in Germany, located at Rudeloffweg 7, starting from 11:00 CEST.

These events, beyond being a celebration of national pride, serve as a platform for cultural diplomacy, showcasing Indonesia's rich cultural heritage and promoting intercultural understanding. The embassy's efforts in organizing such activities underscore the importance of cultural exchange in international relations, strengthening the bond between Indonesia and the local community in Germany.
