Celebrating Ecuadorian Cuisine in Berlin
May 08th, 2014
News from Berlin - The Ecuadorian Embassy will celebrate Ecuadorian cuisine from May 22nd to May 31st. The Ecuadorian Ambassador, Jorge Jurado, together with Ecuadorian Chef Guillermo A. Miranda will open the doors of Ecuadorian cuisine to the people of Berlin. This event will be an opportunity to discover the cultural aspects of Ecuadorian food, as well as its variety and its richness. Through different dishes (fish, shellfish, cocoa, bananas, etc), guests will travel from the coasts to the Andes, with a stop in the Galapagos Islands.
The Institute for the Promotion of Exports and Investments at the Ecuadorian Embassy is also at the origin of the project. Indeed, bringing a piece of Ecuador to Berlin is a great way to promote Ecuador abroad. Offering an overview of some parts of the Ecuadorian culture will be a very efficient means to initiate interest in the country. Indeed, this event is not only about enjoying great food, but also about building cultural bridges through cuisine. So, if you want to have a trip to Ecuador without booking an airline ticket, the place to be is definitely Restaurante Serrano on Pfalzburger Str at 6pm, beginning on May 22nd.
