Celebrating Bolivia’s Bicentennial in Berlin

Showcasing Bolivian culture, music and cuisine at a grand diplomatic celebration

On July 25, 2025, the Embassy of Bolivia in Berlin supported a vibrant celebration marking the Bicentennial of Bolivia’s independence. The event brought together over 350 guests, including 25 ambassadors and nearly 90 representatives from the diplomatic corps, alongside members of Berlin’s business community.

The highlight of the evening was the performance by the folkloric group TINKUNAKU, which captivated the audience with traditional Bolivian dances such as Tinku, Caporales, Cueca and Sikuri. Guests also enjoyed iconic Bolivian dishes, including Salteñas, Sonso and Humintas, which added a delicious cultural touch to the celebration.

Organizers received widespread praise for their meticulous planning, and the keynote speech resonated deeply, reflecting the spirit and pride of Bolivia’s 200-year journey of independence. The event was a vivid display of colors, music, and camaraderie, honoring Bolivia’s rich heritage with dignity and joy.
